glad to hear that you're in a better space and remembering how great it is to travel.

as for the knee -- rest will really help so get to that beach :).

other things you can do: get an ice pack from somewhere (or steal it from a water vendor) and ice your knee for 20 mins at a time, 3-4 times a day. if it's tendonitis, this will help reduce swelling. pop some ibuprofen, obviously.

you can strengthen the muscles around the knee to stabilize it -- as long as there is no pain, you can do the exercises (per my physio). inner thighs, outer thighs, front/back leg and butt -- do side to side shuffles with resistance bands around your ankles (light weight for travel and cheap), and "monster walks" in which you look like you're ice skating side to side, but stepping rather than sliding. also, backwards lunges, and standing on any uneven/flexible ground (e.g. think trampoline or half a pilates ball) with your bad leg so that your leg muscles are forced to stabilize and engage. if you try to throw/catch a ball while standing on it one-legged, it will add to the challenge of balancing/engaging the muscles.

these are all things I've been doing that have helped (patella tendonitis in my case). my knee feels much better now, 3-4 weeks later and i can run again. feel better soon!!!!

Glad that you survived the leg of the trip that usually kills people during The Amazing Race.

Take care of the leg (I can check out some good Thai doctors if you need me to) and talk soon.

Jealously

Two months is right! Only two weeks left in India and then we're off to SE Asia starting in Bangkok. That said, we'll definitely be back in India next year and will keep the hill stations around Chandigarh in mind.

I don't know when you are going to see the comments but I'm the first I guess. While you are travelling to south so I don't think so if you are coming back to North India or not. Visit Chandigarh and some hill stations nearby Chandigarh if you can as you wrote that you've still got more than two months.
Happy journey!!!
